About us

Yarnatopia is more than just a yarn store. We offer a wide variety of yarns by many companies and are always looking for new and exciting projects. Yarnatopia is locally owned and operated and we welcome everyone. You can bring your latest project to work on, or just to stop in to shop. If we do not have what you are looking for, we will do our best to help you find it or a suitable substitute. We don't claim to know everything, but with so many combined years of experience, there are very few things that stump us. Our seating area is always open so that you can come and enjoy the company of other knitters and crocheters. Most days you will find someone working on a project, showing off a project or browsing through our vast selection of books and magazines. On Thursday afternoons and evenings, you will find a mixture of knitters, crocheters and sometimes even the spinners are here. Most everyone offers their help, reassurance and encouragement. What more could you want?

Every third Tuesday of the month at 2:30, Yarnatopia offers a Thyme for Tea session for knitting dishcloths. We help you find a pattern and usually have a free themed pattern picked out for you if you want to join in on the camaraderie, snacks and fun. As always, you are welcome to come and work on whatever your current project might be. We are happy to help if you get stuck or have a question. Yarnatopia probably has more display samples of knitted and crocheted items than most stores. We spend almost all of our spare time working up new yarn samples, so there is always something new to help you get your creative juices flowing. We love a challenge and meeting new people who love playing with yarn and sticks - one stick or two, we welcome you.

We are closed all Federal Holiday's  and sometimes the holiday eve's.

Working 6 days a week, two jobs - no vacation days - we need the holidays.

In the winter months:

We will close If the roads are bad - Bad is relative  but we do not want to have any of our customers get in an accident or fall.  If it is slippery or bad outside - Yarn can wait.  We love our customers and want you safe and sound.

If the Highway Patrol says stay off the roads - we will be closed.  If the Moore Public Schools are closed for weather - so are we.
